I have been promoting Clickmagick since I started using it myself a few months ago. Apart from using banner ads like this one on various download pages, I have also used text ads on Giveaway Events and have also promoted this excellent track clicker software with CashBlurbs.com. In June, 2 people that clicked on one of my links took up the 14 day free trial offer that Clickmagick has in place. Low & behold both of those people decided to purchase a year`s subscription at the end of their 2 week trial! A good result, as each one earned me a commission of $51.45 🙂
I have set up another solo ad for Big Commission Blueprint. This one is a three parter (3 x 200 clicks). The first part has now concluded with a total of 220 clicks bringing me another 58 subscribers and 2 front-end sales! Part two will be going out this week so I hope to get similar or better results with that!
My newest traffic source: Instantbanners4me is coming along nicely. Apart from the extra clicks on my banner ads, I have 6 people signed up under me on that site, who may upgrade at a later stage, netting me a commission.
I have not been able to solve the mystery of why my ads for the nifty Clickbank analytics tool CB Surge are no longer getting me any sign-ups, The number has been stuck on 55 for weeks now, whereas before I was getting an average of 1 sign-up every other day. Strange. If anyone reading this would like to click on my link and sign up to test it is still working, I would be most grateful 🙂
Instant Banners 4 Me (And You!)
Instant Banners 4 Me is a brand new site owned by well known marketer Frank Salinas. As you can see from the shield banner, I joined as one of the founding members. I am already getting traffic from this site and it is just the beginning! I also have 4 members already signed up under me, so I will earn commission should any of them decide to upgrade later on!
My sign ups from the free clickbank analytic tool CB Surge, seem to have stalled at 55. No more sign ups since my last blog post seems odd. I am still promoting it with the same methods and banners. The only difference I have made is to add my exit pop ad for Big Commission Blueprint which may make the page slightly slower to load. Maybe I should check the link again to make sure it is sending the clicks to my referral link!
I had some disheartening news yesterday when I logged in to my back office at iPro. The person who clicked on my link on May 31st and bought Big Commission Blueprint and 2 upsells has refunded on all three purchases 🙁 That means the commissions which I will be receiving on July 15th have taken a serious knock! I have to accept that this kind of thing will happen, so I must forget it and move on! Watching Dean Holland`s weekly webinar yesterday helped to encourage me to keep at it!
My latest solo ad of 200 clicks promoting BCB has been completed. No front-end sales this time, but I have steered another 81 new subscribers into the ipro funnel, so let`s see what happens 🙂
My recent success with my exit pop (see last blog post) encouraged me to add this to most of my web pages, download pages etc. I even added a modified version to my now defunct driving school website! Seeing I decided to leave the site live, I may as well try to get some traffic from it, even though it`s a long shot that anyone looking for driving lessons would be interested, but hey everyone needs to make some extra money so who knows?
I have spent some time adding and tweaking a few emails to my autoresponder lists, so that I am promoting Big Commission Blueprint to my own subscribers, in addition to the direct sign-ups via my solo ad campaigns. I have noticed that just a slight change to an email subject line, can have a dramatic effect on the open rate – so I am keeping that in mind (using the word “Free” seems to do the trick!) 🙂
I have also tweaked this blog slightly, for example, by adding some banner ads. I feel there is much still to do, but I am learning as I go, so no rushing!
My CB Surge sign-ups continue to slowly increase. I have a total of 55 as i write this post.
Have set up another solo ad for 200 clicks which will be going out in a couple of days.
In the meantime I have had a trickle of new sign ups to Big Commission Blueprint . One of them came from this exit pop-up that I have installed on my JV Giveaway page and resulted in a front-end sale and two upsells! 🙂 Now I know that pop-up works, I will install it on other pages.
I am continuing to promote CB Surge, the free clickbank analytics tool that I mentioned in my previous post, and now have 51 people signed up from my link.
My latest solo ad was for 200 clicks. I ended up with 225 clicks and got 87 new subscribers. But the most exciting result was that I got two front-end sales of Big Commission Blueprint! The commission from those sales recovered nearly half the cost of the solo ad, so I am happy. More importantly, I now have 87 more people in the sales funnel 🙂
A couple of months ago I came across a handy FREE Firefox browser extension called CB Surge. What is it? Well, it`s a tool that gives you some great analytics when you log in to your clickbank account. This allows you to make better judgements on which Clickbank products are worth promoting. When you sign up for a FREE copy of CB Surge you will be offered a paid upgraded version. I took this upgrade because it means that when others use your link to get their copy of CB Surge they will be tagged to you. So, if at any time they make a purchase from Clickbank, you get credited with a sale and earn commission!
It`s pretty easy to get people to download CB Surge because it`s FREE! So far I have 43 people signed up through my link, 2 of whom took the upgrade, which meant commission for me 🙂 Also, I have had one Clickbank sale of a product I have never promoted, so I`m pretty certain that sale was to one of my 43 CB Surge sign-ups.
So my third solo ad, which was a two for one special , has ended. The results were not quite as good as I had hoped. From 200 clicks, I ended up with 55 new subscribers but again no sales were generated. I am slightly disappointed but not disheartened. I know that others have got sales from their first solo ads, but I`m sure this is a matter of luck. The new subscribers are in the system now and I trust that further down the line, the sales will start coming in.
In the meantime, I am continuing to use Giveaway Events and Cashblurbs.com to promote Big Commission Blueprint. Although these methods are slow in comparison to solo ads, they are certainly cheaper (virtually free) and I am getting a few sign-ups, so they are worth persevering with.
Am now thinking about my next solo ad, which I hope to send out in the next week or so. There are a lot of improvements being made at ipro by Dean Holland & his team, with more and more value being added. This is an exciting time to be part of this growing opportunity. Onwards & upwards! 🙂
My third solo ad for The Big Commission Blueprint is actually a two-parter. The first 100 clicks have been delivered, resulting in 32 opt-ins. Again there were no immediate sales, but I think at the moment it`s more important to get people signed up so that the system can start to do it`s work. The second 100 clicks should be delivered in a few days and hopefully that will result in at least 30 more opt-ins.
In the meantime, I am trying some free methods of promotion as well. Actually almost free would be more accurate 🙂 I have recently got back in to entering JV Giveaways after not being involved for a couple of years. I always upgrade when joining these events, which allows you to add multiple gifts and also text ads and special offers. The upgrade fee is usually low, around $7 or $10, and I normally at least cover the upgrade costs with one or two sales of special offers. So I am now promoting Big Commission Blueprint with text ads on the Giveaway Events and also by using banners on the download pages for my giveaway gifts.
I recently joined Cashblurbs.com. The way this site works is that you promote another members link, either on Facebook or Twitter and then after viewing 3 other members pages, you get to add your link to the top of a list, so that it will be promoted by other members on their Twitter or Facebook pages. I upgraded when joining, which allows me to post 72 ads every day. However, they ask you to allow at least an hour before adding another tweet to your Twitter account, so that the other members ad doesn`t get pushed down from first place.
I don`t expect great results from the almost free traffic sources, but I have had 1 sign up so far from a Giveaway Event and 2 from Cashblurbs.com, so for the small cost and effort involved, they could be worth sticking with 🙂
So, having joined iPro I am faced with the hurdle of how to drive traffic to my links. It doesn`t matter how good a webpage is at converting, you have to get people to see it!
There are of course many ways of driving traffic. They can be divided into two categories: Paid & Unpaid. In reality, there is no such thing as Free traffic. You either pay for traffic with money or with time & effort spent.
I decided to use the paid option, simply because it means things get moving faster. The unpaid methods can be painfully slow to show results.
Solo ads are where another marketer with an established subscriber list agrees to send your offer to his list. You pay per click. There are no guarantees of success, but providing you choose the right solo ad provider, this method is probably the quickest way to build a list. Solo ads seem to be the method of choice for most new iPro members.
I have now completed my first two solo ads of 100 clicks each. They resulted in a total of 79 sign ups, which is not bad. There were no immediate sales, but not to worry. They are now in the system, so sales may filter through later.
I am soon going to do a third solo ad and will post the results of that one soon.
Tracking your results when doing solo ads is vital. You need to know not only how many clicks you are getting but where they are coming from. Most solo ad providers will give you tracking figures, but far better to have your own system.
I decided to use the iPro recommended Clickmagick software for my tracking. It is really good with many functions which I haven`t even explored yet!
Click the image below to find out more about Clickmagick. They even have a free trial offer!
The following is a recent post from my driving school blog which explains the header image which I placed there and on my Facebook page.
So it`s high time I explained the meaning of above image, which has been on my Facebook page for some months. I have regrettably been obliged to close my driving school, since I am unable to renew my instructor`s licence which came up for annual renewal in December 2014.
The reason for the authorities` refusal to renew my licence is not that I have committed some kind of offence. I haven`t been accused of cheating anybody or groping any of my customers or any other kind of impropriety. No, it is simply because I have two jobs.
Apparently the Government`s master plan for recovery from the economic collapse, partly at least, relies on me only having one job. I suppose I should be flattered!
Yes, there is a law in place which states that a driving instructor can only have a second job if he or she earns less from it than from his driving instructing.I have been instructing for 25 years and for the last 15 of those years I have also worked in the hotel industry. Because I was not brought up in Cyprus, I do not have a wide circle of contacts amongst local people. My customers have nearly all been non-Cypriots, foreigners who prefer an instructor with English as a first language. For that reason I have found it impossible to make a living doing just the one job. My earnings from my salaried job have always exceeded my earnings from my driving instructing, but it never seemed to be an issue. Every year my licence was renewed without comment. It seems very strange that the Government would choose these times of economic hardship, to suddenly remember and enforce this law.
I would have thought that the social insurance contributions I have been paying plus the VAT I have been collecting on behalf of the Government (I wasn`t even obliged to collect VAT as my earnings did not reach the minimum threshold!) were in some small way helping to boost the economy but obviously I was wrong. I am sure The Government has greater intellects than mine advising it on such matters.
I have been hanging on these last few months, hoping there would be a change of heart, but to no avail. I have had no response to a letter I wrote to the Minister in charge. It therefore seems pointless to keep paying out for rental of an office and other expenses, when there is no income coming in. So this is the end of the road for Anthony`s Driving School.
I would like to say thank you to all the people I have taught to drive over the last 25 years and sorry to those new customers that I am not able to take on.
I will probably leave this site and my facebook page live. So if the Cyprus economy makes a dramatic recovery in the next few months and years, you can stop by and thank me!
